INNOVATIVE WORK

INTRODUCTION

Innovative works are always a better and convenient method of learning and understanding. Learning through games, plays, music, group interactions creates a new dimension in which students can easily respond to various topics. The word innovative leads to a large variety of choices for the faculties make the students active and responsive. In a social context, innovation helps to create new methods for alliance creation, flexible work hours

Innovation involves deliberate application of information, imagination and initiative in deriving greater values. Innovation and creativity are interrelated. Innovative works improves the creative skill of the students too. This creative method helps to simplify tough and complicated topic to a more simplified form.  Innovative teaching is necessary for the present and future of education to help students to reach their full potential.

OBJECTIVES

The following are the main objectives of an innovative work:

• To create interest among students to learn a topic.
• To make the teaching learning process more interesting.
• To help students to retain more information.
• To make the teaching learning process more effective and efficient.
• To simplify tough and complicated topics.

MY INNOVATIVE WORK

As part of my B.Ed curriculum i have undertaken an innovative work in the subject business studies.I have taken the topic 

'Legal Protection To Consumer' from the chapter Consumer Protection.

This innovative work is done in the shape of a clock.This is done because of the difficulty among students in remembering the date of various act and also the significance of each act.The procedure behind this innovative work is simple yet interesting.

PROCEDURE 

• Teacher will call upon a student and ask him to select an act from the first circle by placing the hour hand on the act he/she has selected.

• Next, the student need to identify the year of the act from the second circle by placing the second hand against the correct year.

• Next, the student need to identify the significance from the third circle by placing the minute hand against the correct answer.

• Finally teacher will reward points to the student.For each correct answer the student will get ten points.

BENEFITS TO STUDENTS 

This innovative work serves many benefit to students they are as follows:

• Through this game student will be able to remember the year of each act easily.
• Students will be able to lean the significance of each act.
• It makes easy for the students to learn this topic easily.
• It creates interest among the students to learn.
• It avoids boredom among students.

CONCLUSION

By adopting this innovative work in class it was very helpful for the students. They could easily remember the year as well as the significance of each act without much stress.Students really enjoyed the session since it was also accomplished with points there was interest among every student to participate in the game. Since it is an important topic in plus two class  this innovative way of learning helped them to enhance their knowledge more effectively.
